Introduction:

Our mission is to nurture the potentials of every child to the optimum using our world class curriculum, facilities and competent staff.

Starling school is committed to empowering children with 21st century skills. Every child is a star and as such we admit children from all race, creed, social and economic strata.

Our admission requirements are as follows:

  • Submission of reports of the pupil from previous schools.

  • Sitting for placement test in Numeracy and Literacy for the children seeking admission into years 1-6 (Key stages 1 & 2).

  • An interview with both parents by management.

  • *Children between ages 3-5years seeking admission in Early Years Foundation Stage (Nursery 1 and Reception Class) will be required to undertake a range of age appropriate activities – sorting, drawing, colouring, identification games, puzzles and answering questions orally.

  • A child must be 2years old to be placed in our playgroup, 3years to be placed in our Nursery 1 and 4years to be placed in our reception class on or before September of the new academic year.

  • Placement tests are done over the course of a school day.

  • The school reserves the right to place a child in the class of his/her ability and or appropriate age.

  • All information obtained by the school about the child and his/her family during the admission process will be handled with a high degree of confidentiality.
